This comment section is starting to sound like a HfP memorial!

I too am around the 10 year mark, after swearing to myself “never again” after an overnight economy flight to HKG akin to sleep deprivation torture. From a bit of searching around, a chap called “Raffles” gave me some tips on FlyerTalk, including free Silver status with Virgin at the time, and I’ve been subscribed to this site ever since.

It’s only more recently I’ve been able to make the most of it, and enjoyed a fantastic family holiday to NZ using all the tricks I’ve learnt from the HfP team and the wise ones on the forums.

Well done for making a career out of such a niche subject!

I’ve been here since the begining and learnt a hell of a lot. I’ve flown to places and in seats that I couldn’t have dreamed of doing without the help of Rob and the team. I like to think I’ve returned the favour a few times.

The high calliber of attendees to the ceremony really does cement the impact of HFP in the travel and loyaly industry.

Well done.

PS. I’m not doing anything tomorrow.

Another 10 year plus follower of HFP and prior to that flyertalk and thanks to your article on Australia redemptions last year managed to use 241 and Avios to grab a club class return to Australia and took advantage of the Qatar premium lounge in Singapore on the way out which was excellent. Its great to see how serious brand loyalty is taken by the airlines and hotel operators

It’s great to see this site make such an impact! That really shows that it is recognised as a key player not just by points collectors but the travel and loyalty industry itself.

The travel world and loyalty schemes have changed a slot since the cartridge days (my wife still uses this as an example of some of the more “questionable” points collection initiatives as all of them went on eBay), but HfP is still there to help us maximise all (or at least most!) opportunities!

I’ve been on here for over 10 years … my first card was BA Premium Amex. It got referred and I emailed Rob in a Panic. Went through in a few days! I remember the old days of using your Ba Amex to buy gift cards in Tesco and paying your BA holiday with them. The registration process was so long winded but I sat and went through each £25/£50 card to pay off my holiday balances. My first “Hack” of many through the years of my points addiction! I’ve gained Silver status a few times, earned over 2 million Avios on our Family account and flown almost every BA Premium Cabin and Plane Type since 2014. My favourite being the 747 seat 64k and 2k ( wasn’t lucky enough for 1k) I would say 90% of my travels has been down to this fantastic site, Rob and the team and the many members who help keep it up to date and the Great Forum it is today. It’s came a long way and very much deserved. Thank you all!

Being another small business owner, it’s been great seeing how far Rob, and his excellent team at HfP, have come over the years. Many of us, I’m sure, well remember the likes of the old Tesco Clubcard days, and how things have grown since then.

Have a great evening, and hopefully there’ll, maybe, be some new valuable travel competitions for the readers as a result! HaHa!
