Earn double Accor Live Limitless points at Bicester Village

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

Oddly, and I only recently realised this after many years, the most generous Bicester Village travel partner is hotel programme Accor Live LimitlessSee here for details.

As you can see via the link, the standard earning rate is 3 Accor Live Limitless points per £1 spent. As 1 Accor point = 2 Eurocents off your next hotel stay (albeit redeemed in chunks of 2,000 points) you’re getting roughly 5% back. This is more generous than taking Avios but only makes sense if you are already an active Accor member.

Earn double Accor points at Bicester Village

Until 25th February 2024, it’s even better. If you spend £300+ (in your entire shopping trip, not necessarily in one transaction) you will receive double points. This means 6 Accor Live Limitless points per £1, so roughly 10% back.

However …. I should warn you that, on my last visit to Bicester Village two months ago, I asked the Guest Concierge Centre to credit my Accor Live Limitless account and nothing ever appeared. This is despite the concierge typing in my account details as I stood next to her. My Accor account number contains a letter and this has stopped me getting partner points in the past, so I don’t know if this is a widespread issue or not.

You may even be able to double dip with Avios now that Avios earning at Bicester Village is card linked – this article explains more.

Would be interested to hear your views on the Josh Cahill YouTube video released yesterday on QR.

Writing this as someone that likes QR!

    • 1ATL says:

Personally I see this as reason in flying QR moving forward. A Josh Cahill free zone is definitely a sales pitch that benefits everyone except Josh Cahill.

Ask on the daily forum think you will get more answers on there.

    • Thomas says:

Who is Josh Cahill? Your statement implies he is known by many?

      • His Holyness says:

I often come across posts on Insta of QR crew who resign but won’t say why. This is vs your typical European ex-crew who won’t shut up about how bad airline X was. What are QR crew afraid of?

As another ‘bits’, not sure if aware, but the Ahlan First Class Lounge is no longer (at least for now) available on Travel Pass in DXB. Currently only offers biz class – far more crowded, much less enjoyable.

    • Rob says:

Boo. Was there in October as it’s the Oman Air business class facility (which was generous).

      • Thomas says:

100% agree! Great lounge, having done GF, BA, AF, LH on that level , the Allan 1st class lounge for me is by far the best! The menu is huge, all cooked to order! Lovely team all together

Tried two hotels for Kempinski in app various dates and can’t get any further than selecting dates in app. Latest version of app too.

I had an email from Qatar airways which is offering 3x Avios on the Bicester collection until the end of the year. That’s 3 points per pound/euro.

I visited Fidenza village yesterday (near Parma, Italy) which is part of the Bicester collection, so I should see the points hit my QR account in a few days.

Another thing worth remembering is there’s a small Brexit benefit, although the UK scrapped tax free shopping most of the EU hasn’t so if you’re a UK resident (I’m not currently) and shopping in an EU country you should be able to take advantage of tax free shopping in these places.

  • @thirdpassport says:

Or book with a Kempinski Club 1897 travel advisor (yours truly) and get $50-100 credit to spend during your stay, daily breakfast, plus room upgrade, early check-in, late check-out (subject to availability).

I appreciate this won’t appeal to everyone as we all have different definitions of what constitutes “good value”.

  • Voldemort says:

Ah yes a famous QR promo code that usually makes everything more expensive.

  • Errol says:

The QR offer doesn’t seem to be available to people originating their holidays from Africa, Canada or USA.
