This is an (almost) complete directory of airport lounges in the UK, reviewed by the HfP team or our readers.

Airline lounges are usually reserved for business class and passengers holding elite status. Third party lounges such as Aspire (click here), Plaza Premium (click here) or No1 Lounges (click here) can be booked for cash via their websites.

Certain credit cards offer free airport lounge access. The Platinum Card from American Express, for example, offers two free Priority Pass cards. Each allows unlimited visits for two people to 1,300 lounges.

American Express Preferred Rewards Gold, which is free for the first year, comes with four free airport lounge passes. These are valid anywhere in the Priority Pass network. Applying for this card in advance of your trip, and cancelling it before the first free year is over, means that your two lounge visits will have been free.

You can also buy a Priority Pass lounge club card, allowing access to over 1,300 lounges. There are various packages available as you can see on their website here.

We have removed lounges from this list where we know they have closed permanently following the pandemic. This includes the three Plaza Premium arrivals lounges at Heathrow.
